The gig last night at the Royal Festival Hall was beyond great. Joe got to rock out with original Cream bassist Jack Bruce, playing original Cream classics. Here is what Joe had to say about the gig.
Awesome time tonight at the Royal Festival Hall. Thank you to Jack and his wonderful band. Also a special shout out to the Bruce Family for being so kind and making me feel so welcome.. I will never forget this for the rest of my life.. Dude! I got to play White Room and Sunshine of Your Love!! Epic!!
Videos have already hit YouTube. Thanks to Pete for the videos, check them out below. Joe played six songs with Jack Bruce.
All videos can be viewed in HD, Enjoy!
Hey Joe, I have been a fan of Jack for a long time, and how cool is it to play togetherfor a great show. I am a bassist with BlackBrew out of Los Angeles, and to this day use some of Jacks chop! But I look forward to hearing more of your music. It is because of people like you that I play bass! Such great talent.
Have a good one Joe.
Johnny
Bassist, BlackBrew
Joe never ceases to amaze me. How lucky are we to enjoy his work!
went to see Joe at the Festival Hall with my 10 year old son. It was his first concert, we had a balcony seat and he was terrified!! As soon as Joe came on all thoughts of vertigo disappeared – it was electricfying. What an amazing night. What a superstar. Roll on Hammersmith and a seat in the stalls!! Thank you Joe 🙂 see you in October.
Sorry I missed this gig. I had at one time planned to go down to London to see it but it wasn’t working out for me in the end. A friend of mine did go and emailed me to say he had a ball. I’ve watched the youtube clips – great stuff. I saw Jack with his blues band earlier this year. I’ve seen Jack play loads of times. He’s a legend. I also saw Joe play High Voltage last year and the last time he played Liverpool Carling Academy. The upshot of this is the two of them should make this a more regular if not semi-permanent thing. JB + JB = OK !!!
Joe is the next great thing to happen to real music. Great voice, very strong guitar skills, from his deepest soul, rock… I mean blue on Joe!!!
What can i say, after seeing Joe & band in Melbourne about 3 weeks ago, 5 rows from the
front still amazed at the raw power of the concert. Good to see JB back at the RAH after
a 2 year period, no doubt he was really looking forward to returning and playing a few songs with the other JB. Brilliant to see the guitar slinger sharing a stage with the music that he grew up listening too, Thanks for sharing these special moments for us JB fans
